Non-Denominational Preschool for Ages 2-6

Children’s World, located at 7620 Foothill Road in Ventura, is a proud member of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). We provide a variety of programs, including the Reggio Emilia approach, Traditional Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten (NEW), a Toddler program, and Parent & Me classes.

As a non-denominational school founded 45 years ago, we aim to offer families an alternative educational option for their children. Our curriculum is secular, and we do not incorporate religious teachings or national holidays into our classrooms.

Additionally, we offer Parent & Me courses designed for families with infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds.

SCHEDULE

• Toddler, Preschool, and Transitional Kindergarten Programs are from 9:00 am-11:45 am. 
• Parent and Me Infants: 9:00-9:40 am
• Parent and Me One Year Olds: 9:30 am-10:30 am Parent and Me Two Year Olds: 9:30 am-11:00 am Reggio Class is from 8:30 am-12:00 pm. 
• Kindergarten is from 8:30 am-2:00 pm

We also offer Early Care from 7:30 am-8:55 am, Lunch, Enrichment, and Late Care Programs from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm (3:00 pm on Fridays)
 

Philosophy 

Our quality program is based on the knowledge that all children are different, learn in different ways and grow and mature at different rates. We provide a warm, loving environment for the child's first separation from parents. Our stimulating, developmentally apporpriate curriculum includes hands-on learning exerpiences that use the child's natural learning abilities and interests to further his/her development.

We seek to develop a postivie Jewish identity and pride in our hertiage and traditions. Holidays, Torah stories, traditions, customs, blessings, prayers and symbols are to children through songs, arts, dramatic play as part of the daily curriculum. Jewish ethics and vaules are reflected in the practicies or tzedakah, the kindness to people and animals, a respect for our environment and prayers to acknowledge our blessings in this world.
